After the long-time painful field work… we have a day off~~

So it really begins!
Actually, today is the 4th day of our course, I did’t bring my laptop to Kunming, so I just start from today, July 12th.
This afternoon, both my two supervisor gave lectures, I’m proud of that~
So here are some introduction and little anecdote of them, my respected two professors.
Zhu hua, a traditional botanist, knows almost all vegetation in Yunnan province, and very familiar with plants in this region, esp. Xishuangbanna. So everytime some trainning course begins, he must be the first one to give talks about forest and flora here, knowing these things is always the start to get into our work.
Ferry Slik, who have more than 10 years field work experience in Borneo’s rainforest, now shift his work center to Xishuangbanna. Thank him bring new methods and ideas to our plot work.
Both of them are modest gentle person– maybe I have a special favor to choose gentleman as superviser, ok, just kidding–
They are respected because their rigorous scholarship, and love in plants and forest, and family…
Years before, Zhu hua have attend Ferry’s oral defence in Holland. He recall that Sumi was very happy about Ferry’s pass, and Varunua was a little baby that time.
Years after, they all moved to China. Varunua is a big girl now, we cheeres for her 6th birthday in XTBG.
