OK, first of all, who am I? This is a Chinese girl doing her Master’s degree on Ecological Evolution in Xishuangbanna Tropical Botany Garden of Chinese Academy of Sciences. I am interested in plant taxonomy and phylogeny and planning to look into them through DNA sequence and other bioinformatic methods:)
Second of all, what is AFEC-X? It is short for Advanced Field Ecological Courses and I guess you have already some idea bout X, yes, it is Xishuangbanna!
I have been hearing Chuck talking about this course from last year on and could not believe that we are actually doing it so soon~ Now it happens, 28 participants from all over the world!
